Rodeo — Ride the Bull

Rodeo is an AI-driven trading intelligence workstation for futures and forex. It reads the market the way an institutional desk does — tracking liquidity, volatility regimes, and order-flow behavior — and translates that read into disciplined, risk-managed trade ideas you can review, paper-trade, and learn from.

Current state · Market data and trade ideas may begin with demo or seeded data until live providers and AI generation are fully connected.
Overview

What Rodeo is

Rodeo is built around a simple thesis: most retail traders lose because they are reactive, over-trade, and have no framework for when not to trade. Institutional desks win because they have structure — they know the regime, they know where liquidity sits, and they wait for high-quality setups.

The platform replicates that structure in four layers:

  • Market layer — live quotes, sparklines, and cross-asset context for futures, forex, and international indices.
  • Intelligence layer — AI-generated regime read, volatility score, and institutional-behavior signals (liquidity sweeps, stop hunts, volume anomalies).
  • Decision layer — disciplined trade ideas with entry, stop, target, confidence, and explicit "no trade" calls when the regime doesn't warrant risk.
  • Learning layer — paper-trading log, equity curve, and an AI chat dock that remembers every conversation and feedback vote you give it.
Under the hood

How it works

The AI engine runs on the Lovable AI Gateway (GPT-5 class models). It receives a structured snapshot of the current market state — regime, volatility, key levels, recent institutional signals — and generates commentary, trade ideas, and answers to your questions.

Regime detection
Every session is classified (Cautious Bullish, Risk-Off, Trend Day, Chop) so trade logic adapts to conditions instead of fighting them.
Liquidity analysis
The signal engine tracks swept highs/lows, failed breakouts, and absorption above/below VWAP — the footprints institutions leave.
Volatility scoring
A 0–10 volatility score sets position size and decides whether the day is tradeable, sit-out, or hedge-only.
Discipline first
The system will explicitly say 'no trade today' when the edge isn't there. Discipline > Activity is enforced in the prompt layer.
Conversation memory
The AI dock persists every chat to your session. Context replays on each message so the assistant stays anchored to your ongoing thesis.
Feedback loop
Thumbs up/down on any AI response is logged. Over time this trains the prompt layer toward what's actually useful for your style.
Modules

What the dashboard provides

Pre-Market Briefing
Headline regime call, bias, key levels, and the conditional logic for the session.
Quote Tables
Futures (CME/ICE), spot FX, and international indices with inline sparklines and % change.
Intelligence Briefing
AI-generated narrative of what's actually driving price right now — not yesterday's news.
Institutional Signals
Real-time flags for liquidity sweeps, stop hunts, absorption, and unusual volume.
Sector Rotation
Where institutional capital is flowing across sectors and risk buckets.
Trade Ideas
Entry, stop, target, confidence score, and the institutional reasoning behind each idea.
Paper Trading
Equity curve, trade log, and P&L tracking so you can validate ideas without risking capital.
AI Chat Dock
Right-side collapsible chat. Ask follow-ups, stress-test ideas, request alternate scenarios.
Workflow

How to use it

  1. 1
    Start with the Pre-Market Briefing
Read the top hero card. It tells you the regime, the bias, and the one condition that invalidates it. If you only read one thing, read this.
  2. 2
Check the Intelligence + Signals column
Confirm the regime read against live institutional signals. If the briefing says "long bias above 5836" and signals show absorption at that level, the thesis is intact.
  3. 3
    Review Trade Ideas
Each idea is a complete plan: entry, stop, target, confidence. If confidence is low or the card says "No Trade", respect it — that's the discipline layer doing its job.
  4. 4
    Paper-trade the ones you'd take
Log entries in the Paper Trading module. The equity curve shows whether your selection of ideas (not the system's) is profitable over time.
  5. 5
Use the AI dock for everything else
Open the right-side chat to ask "why this stop?", "what invalidates the EUR/USD short?", or "walk me through today's regime read." Vote responses up/down — that feedback shapes future answers.
Principles

What Rodeo is not

  • Not a signal-spammer. Most days have 0–4 ideas, not 40.
  • Not a black box. Every idea shows its reasoning.
  • Not auto-execution (yet). Phase 1 is intelligence + paper trading. Live execution comes after the learning loop is proven.
  • Not investment advice. It is a decision-support tool for experienced traders who already understand risk.
